This App was a project in Projects in Graphic Design class where the Shelburne Museum was our client. The Shelburne Museum is the biggest in the state of Vermont and our class had the opportunity to work with them to gain experience of what it's like to work with a client. The Shelburne Museum wanted us to create a mobile app and a digital marketing campaign to help increase viewership. My idea was to create an app with an interactive map where people could learn about various attractions, plan their routes, and understand how expansive Shelburne Museum is.
Main Menu
Each of these images shows the various functions of the app. Going from left to right, we have the boot-up screen, then we have the menu with the features of the app. The last two show the attractions section of the app. Users can click on the pictures to learn about the attractions and exhibits the museum has to offer.
Map
From left to right, we have a menu where you can open you can see the various tours a user can take. The next image shows the map where the user can click on all the attractions and learn about them. Finally, the last two show the route planning function of the app. You can take pre-made tours created by the Shelburne Museum or create your own customized route. The app then calculates how long your route may take and then works like a GPS to show you where you need to go on your trip.
Social Media Mockups
For the digital marketing side of the project, I created carousel ads for Facebook and Instagram to help promote the app. The ad’s purpose is to show the key features of the map in action while also encouraging people to come to the museum.
