One of my clients was a small start-up freelance writing firm named Writing that Works. I worked with Writing the Works to establish a brand identity for their company. I created the logo, business card, and business forms using Illustrator. The goal was to create a brand that felt experienced, established, approachable.
Main Logo

The inspiration for the logo came from old typewriter companies. I chose this as my inspiration as it would convey that Writing that Works is experienced and established. I used Engraves as the main typeface as it’s bold and had a sense of authority. I also used blue as it also brings a sense of authority and reliability to the brand.
Business Card

The business card needed a secondary typeface. I went to Gill Sans as the second type as it's approachable and complements the boldness of Engraves. I also created a fountain pen illustration that would connect to the logo and become a central image to the branding of Writing that Works.
Branded Documents

I made branded documents for Writing that Works. These include the letterhead and invoice.
